Littleton, MA 2018 – Littleton Education Fund (LEF) announced it received a $50,000 gift from Middlesex Savings Bank. The support will allow LEF to continue to assist teachers, student groups, or town residents who have ideas that would promote creativity and enthusiasm, or enhance learning in the classroom.
“This generous gift allows LEF to continue to provide funding for culturally enriching projects for Littleton Public School students,” said Erin Manning, LEF President. “We have two grant cycles per year when we review imaginative ideas put forth by school staff, students and community members. We’re excited for the opportunity to increase our level of giving thanks to this wonderful donation by Middlesex Savings Bank.”
“Middlesex Savings Bank has great respect for the education foundations in our community,” said Michael McAuliffe, President and CEO of Middlesex Savings Bank. “They work hard to support projects and programs that foster learning and creativity. We hope these donations will make their jobs easier this year and are excited to see their existing academic programs flourish or new ones come to life.”
LEF is a community based, independent, tax-exempt organization that supports the Littleton Public Schools by providing grant funds, independent of the school budget, to finance enriching school programs. In over twenty years of grant approvals, more than $295,000 has been awarded.
